You can message claimants and view the message chain right from the software.

Messaging can be used when a claimant does not provide enough information in their claim you can ask them for more details, for their device password if they did not provide, or to schedule a time for a pick up.

At the bottom of the claim, you will see an area for messaging.

Type a message in the textbox and click ‘Send’ when ready.

This will email the claimant the message and allow them to reply to the email. Their reply will show up in the message chain in the software.

Custom messages can be setup so you can easily select a prewritten message to the claimant.

To set up custom messaging – click here.

To insert a custom message, click the drop down above the message text box. Select your desired message and it will insert the message into the text box.

You can make any necessary edits in the text box, and then hit ‘send’.

Claimants can attach pictures or files to their messages that will appear in the attachments section below the messages.

Here are a few instances where attachments are helpful:

  • You can ask a claimant to send photos of the item to prove ownership.
    • For example: If it is sunglasses you can ask for a picture of them in the glasses.
  • You can ask them to send receipts or other proof of ownership.
  • Photo of their ID to prove they are really the person claiming the item.
